Guinean Coup Leader Diallo Speaks
The recent coup in Guinea has raised a lot of arguments on social media and many questions have been raised as to why there should be a coup d'etat at this time of our generation.
Numerous reports say the coup was led by an elite unit headed by Lt Col Mamady Doumbouya populary know as Diallo.
And this is what he said in a statement;
"I' Mamady Doumbouya and I'm forming CNRD which will steer the country through a Transition. I have dissolved the Parliament and Government. I'm ordering the suspension of the Constitution and ordered the closure of the land, border and air space.
My motive for the takeover is because of Rampant corruption, mismanagement and the hardship seen in the country."
In one video, which the BBC has not been able to verify, soldiers ask President Condé, 83, to confirm he is unharmed but he refuses to respond. Sitting barefoot on a sofa wearing jeans and a printed shirt, he does not have any visible injuries. His current whereabouts are unknown.
The fate of Guinea's President Alpha Condé is unclear after an unverified video showed him surrounded by soldiers, who said they had seized power.

However, the defence ministry said the attempted takeover had been thwarted by the presidential guard
This follows hours of heavy gunfire near the presidential palace in the capital, Conakry.

Alpha Conde, the president was surrounded by the Special Forces at the presidential palace on sunday, September 5, 2021 declaring a possible removal of his government and the Parliament.
